We may occasionally offer "homage" watches or similar items that are inspired by classic designs. Such items are legal products that do not bear any trademarked logos, names, or branding of other manufacturers. Homage items will always be clearly identified as such and are never represented as genuine branded products. However, as we are not authorized dealers or certified experts, we cannot provide manufacturer-backed authenticity guarantees. For watches specifically: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing, we cannot guarantee that all components are original to the watch, that the watch has not been serviced with non-manufacturer parts, or that the watch has not been polished, refinished, or otherwise altered from its original factory condition.
For coins and bullion: Items described as graded by third-party services (such as PCGS or NGC) are sold as received in their graded holders. We do not independently verify grades and defer to the grading service's assessment. Raw (ungraded) coins are described to the best of our ability, but our assessments should not be considered professional numismatic grades.
For artwork and other collectibles: Provenance information, artist attributions, and period/era designations are provided based on available information and our good-faith assessment. We recommend independent authentication for significant purchases.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in an item's listing, products purchased from The Keen Curator should be assumed to have no manufacturer's warranty coverage. Most manufacturer warranties are non-transferable, require proof of purchase from an authorized dealer, or have time limitations that have expired for pre-owned items.
In certain cases, an item may be covered by a transferable manufacturer's warranty that remains valid for secondary-market purchases. If a transferable warranty applies to a specific item, this will be expressly noted in that item's listing description along with any relevant details, documentation, or limitations. The absence of such notation in a listing indicates that no manufacturer's warranty is included, implied, or should be expected.
Buyers should not assume the existence of any manufacturer warranty, service coverage, or support entitlement unless it is explicitly stated in the item description. Even where a warranty may technically be transferable, we cannot guarantee that the manufacturer will honor such warranty for secondary-market purchases, as policies may vary and are subject to change at the manufacturer's discretion.
Any warranty, return policy, or guarantee offered by The Keen Curator is provided by us directly and is entirely separate from any manufacturer's warranty program.
All photographs on this website are original images taken by The Keen Curator of the actual items being offered for sale, unless otherwise noted. We do not use stock photography, manufacturer marketing images, or images from other sources to represent our inventory.
We strive to accurately represent the condition of each item through photographs and written descriptions. However, variations in monitor settings, lighting conditions, and photographic equipment may cause colors and details to appear differently than in person. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Keen Curator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the purchase, use, or inability to use any item purchased from this website, including but not limited to damages arising from claims that an item is not authentic, not original, or not as described.
Our total liability for any claim arising from a transaction shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the item in question.
Returns: The Keen Curator accepts returns for defective products only. If you receive an item that is materially different from its description or has a defect that was not disclosed in the listing, please contact us within 7 days of receipt to arrange a return.
Exchanges: We do not accept exchanges. Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of most items in our inventory, direct exchanges are not possible.
Third-Party Seller Policies: Some items on The Keen Curator are listed by independent sellers who operate their own businesses through our platform. These sellers may establish their own return and exchange policies that differ from ours. When purchasing from a third-party seller, please review any seller-specific policies noted in the listing or seller profile. The seller's stated policy, if any, will govern that transaction.
Refund Method: Approved returns will be refunded to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned item. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
